Ibrahim Bangura

Grad Year: 2014

Came to Lee from: Reading, Pennsylvania

Occupation: Executive Pastor

In spring of 2012, Ibrahim Bangura felt called to pursue a degree in Pastoral Ministry as a route to being in full-time ministry. The Pastor (now Emeritus) of the church he attended then (and now works at), Spring Valley Church of God, recommended Lee University. He enrolled and started at Lee that fall and graduated in the summer of 2014.

After Lee, Ibrahim pursued an MDiv in Christian Leadership at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary (PTS) from 2014 to 2016, after which he was immediately hired as the Executive Pastor of Spring Valley Church, a role he has held since that time.

Ibrahim’s main responsibilities at Spring Valley include providing oversight leadership for all pastors (except the lead pastor) and staff as well as oversight of the church’s finances and operations.

Since 2019, he has also served as part-time chaplain at Albright College, a Liberal Arts College there in Reading. In this role, he provides spiritual guidance to administration, faculty, staff, and students.

Ibrahim is one of countless Lee graduates in ministry. Every day he brings light "by equipping my church team to fulfill their callings and by providing spiritual and moral guidance to members of the Albright College community."
